i have recently been thinking about this as it was a big life changing decision.
only now do i realize it wasnt about doctrine.. the reason was because i wasnt happy and didnt respect the elders and the congregation was made up of unhappy people.. i was always being lectured for being happy.
when i had a study that came to the meeting i thought thats a good thing, and i was happy.

i get the point..but in my area i see many young baptised as free, they get the crap..but for love of family they " tolerate the mental illness" go to meetings..but outside they are free.
Crazy what people put up for family....but i think its a god way..its for many the only way to perserve family unity....

it is interesting that there is virtually no statement that says a witness cannot have a beard, yet universally they do not have beards.

it's usually linked to a story of how they were wronged and want some revenge.
do these 'in your face' attempts to convince people that the truth isn't the truth really have an effect?.

Thats why i like my self help and realization stories here, they are without commercial value..despite the spelling...they are on the most part sincere testimonies of life and out of a cult...

But i think spelling and prououncication is not so important...infact i think many posts are extrordinRy and heartfelt, when i meditate on the heart that wrote the post. ..grammer and spelling for me is not IMPORTANT.

Jgnet, you write with honesty and clarity, but we have lost to death many on this site who articulated themselfs with a bottle and confused words...its a sad thing if it comes down to grammer...
